No. The free score is pulled with a soft inquiry, so it does not affect your credit.

What's the difference between a mortgage score and a regular credit score?

FICO® Score 4 is TransUnion's mortgage version of the FICO® Score, and it is the score you get here. Free apps and card websites often show a different score model, so their numbers can differ from this one.

How accurate is the free mortgage score?

It is your real TransUnion FICO® Score 4, the TransUnion score mortgage lenders use. Mortgage underwriting uses FICO® Score 2 from Experian, FICO® Score 4 from TransUnion and FICO® Score 5 from Equifax. The score is for education. When you apply, a lender may also check your Experian and Equifax reports, so the scores a lender sees can differ.

Will I get spam calls after requesting my score?

We do not sell your personal data. After you request your score, we email you when your results are ready, or send one reminder if the identity check wasn't finished. A team member may call or email you about your results. Newsletters and other marketing emails include an unsubscribe link, and you can ask us to stop calling.

Is this really free or are there hidden fees?

The score is free — on me — and needs no credit card. The free personal home search is no cost, no obligation.

How do I get started with buying a home in Kentucky?

Is preparation the same as preapproval?

No. Preparation is educational. It does not guarantee credit improvement, lender qualification, or loan approval. A licensed lender reviews your application and makes lending decisions.

Do I need a separate account?
